As a Wilderness Therapist, Evan worked with families and students on building a healthy self-concept, developing deep understanding of relationships, and cultivating meaningful connections with the self and others.
Evan helps people struggling with with emotional imbalance, anxiety, depression, challenges with technology or substance use, social communication challenges, executive functioning difficulties, learning differences and challenges related to successfully launching into independence, emotional self-sufficiency and cultivating healthy, connected relationships.
Evan employs a strength-based, person-centered and experiential approach that fosters open and honest communication, and draws on Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Compassionate Inquiry as a means for understanding pain, building trust and strengthening one’s relationship with the self. Evan also utilizes the Gottman Method when helping couples to develop healthier communication patterns. Though this process, we help clients to build a sense of internal trust and safety, develop self-regulation skills and effectively process traumatic life experiences.
